# How the free trial works

Eligible new subscribers get TVCP free for 7 days. You get a reminder 24 hours before the trial ends if you allow notifications, and if you cancel in your App Store or Google Play subscriptions before it ends, you pay nothing.

## How it works

1. **Start the trial in the Guardian app.** After setup, tap **Start free trial** on the Home screen, or tap any feature that needs a subscription. The app shows the plans.
2. **Pick a plan.** Choose monthly or yearly, and how many TVs if the app offers more than one. The store shows the price for your country before you confirm.
3. **Confirm with Apple or Google.** The screen says **No Payment Due Now**: nothing is charged today.
4. **Use everything for 7 days.** Locks, timers, schedules, app blocking, volume and Uninstall Blocking are all included.
5. **Get a reminder.** If you allow notifications, the Guardian app reminds you 24 hours before the trial ends.
6. **Decide.** If you keep it, the subscription starts on the date shown when you subscribed. If you cancel before then, you pay nothing.

## Quick answers

**Can I get a second free trial?**
No. There is one free trial per family.

**Does deleting the app cancel my trial?**
No. Cancel it in your App Store or Google Play subscriptions. Deleting the app doesn't stop the subscription.
